From his first starring role in 'Just William' to the huge TV successes with 'The Sweeney' and 'Minder', Dennis Waterman had an amazing theatrical career, which he has also combined with an equally dramatic love life.
Aged twelve, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford. 'The Sweeney' and 'Minder' made him famous, but he has also starred in musicals and films, and even played football at Wembley with Bobby Moore and George Best. There were affairs with Suzy Kendall and Romy Schneider, and some failed marriages, the last being with Rula Lenska.
