Rick Stein discovers great dishes and local delicacies amongst the tidal estuaries, shingle banks and rocky shores of Britain. 'Rick Stein's Seafood Lovers' Guide' is organised geographically, region by region. Rick describes the fish-catching and fish-eating traditions of each area as well as details of local life, legends and literature. Each chapter features six to eight recipes and ends with a guide to a selection of the area's best hotels, restaurants, pubs and specialist seafood suppliers. The recipes are a mixture of regional specialities and recipes gleaned from the characters he meets on his journey round Britain. There is also a section on classic British seafood dishes, such as Grilled Sole with Parsley Butter and Prawn Cocktail. The book is illustrated with stunning food and landscape photography.
