Sonny Barger takes to the road again with a high-speed bagful of stories from life on the open highway.
Sonny Barger's first book 'Hell's Angel' was a hardback bestseller and introduced one of the largest and most dangerous characters to put pen to paper in many years. Sonny is the acknowledged head of the Hell's Angels, the motorcycle club that has been the scourge of America for over forty years. Sonny was their de facto leader for much of that time, the man who Hunter S. Thompson immortalised in his 1965 classic Hells Angels, noting 'Barger is nothing short of Winston Churchill when it come to leading people.' He's been called an American legend and he's feared and revered by people on both sides of the law.
These stories will incorporate the tales of other bikeriders and their non-conformist followers, on and off the road adventures. Ridin' High, Livin' Free will perpetuate the dominant theme of Hell's Angel – that freedom ain't cheap and there's nothing quite like an open road, a tuned-up Harley and an old lady hanging on for dear life.
The book features high-speed highway tales, scrapes and battles with John Law, roadside close calls, accidents, brawls and a host of colourful characters.
