Considers the ethics of artificial intelligence and new technologies, asking if we are ready for what many consider to be the fourth industrial revolution. Considering the positive impact of new technology on a range of areas such as education, healthcare, policing, transport, construction and agriculture, the author explores its negative consequence for livelihoods and incomes. Reflecting on the stark prediction that new technologies will increasingly replace people in the workforce and lead to the demise of over 40 per cent of jobs, he challenges us all to become informed on the subject.
