But when her brother goes missing, will Sadie and her new friend Newt be able to figure out the secret of the swamp without ending up as monster food? This has led not only to a peculiarly open mind, but also a taste for the delightfully mysterious and macabre. After studying marine science and working for several years within the commercial fishing industry, Fionna finally decided to test run those voices that had taken up space in her head for far too long. She has had her short stories published in the NSW School Magazine, multiple anthologies, and won several writing competitions including AWC's Furious Fiction & the KSP Spooky Story Competition and self-published a middle grade series of spooky interactive novels, The Twisted Trails. She looks forward to creating more creepy, bizarre and somewhat confusing books for children.
