The Mediterranean has long been a stage for epic regattas, where maritime passion and heritage are celebrated. In 1981, Dick and Celia Jayson, aboard their Swan 44, joined forces with Patrice de Colmont and skipper Jean Laurain to create the Nioulargue regatta in Saint-Tropez, later renamed the Voiles de Saint-Tropez in 1999. Now the Mediterranean's premier sailing event, it attracts over 250 boats annually, blending classic and modern vessels. This book, created in collaboration with de Colmont, features stunning photography by Guillaume Plisson and insights from yachting luminaries, capturing the essence of the French Riviera's yachting scene. AUTHOR: Journalist and writer Laurence Benaïm is the author of highly regarded biographies on Yves Saint Laurent, Marie-Laure de Noailles and Jean-Michel Frank (Grasset, 2001, 2017, 2018), in addition to La Sidération (Stock, 2021) and Paris, capitale de Guerlain (Flammarion, 2021). She has written several books on fashion and style history for Assouline, including Yves Saint Laurent: The Impossible Collection (2020), Orientalism Style (2022), Carita (2022) and Guerlain: An Imperial Icon (2023).
