At school in the 21st century, students study zoology through computer "sims", a virtual reality where they interface with an animal's brain under controlled conditions. Prem thinks sims are great, but for Hobie the Boy Genius they are too safe - he can do better. His wild experiment takes them both out of the lab and into a desperate real-life struggle for survival.
