Sid, Neey & Friends Showtime! is a unique childrens book based on iconic Australian characters performing in Sydneys Opera House. Written to inspire and introduce kids to the magical world of theatre the story follows characters Sid and Neey and their quest to fill the Opera House with audiences to bring back Benni the dog. Disappointed by the lack of theare attendance, Benni has disappeared leaving a note that he wont return to the Opera House until audiences return. To bring Benni back Sid and Neey reach out to their Australian animal friends around the country. Together they dance, sing and strum around Sydneys Opera House. But will the shows bring back the audiences and Benni the dog?...
The main characters, Sid and Neey, are based on design elements of the Sydney Opera House. Their heads represent the main building and their legs represent the stairs leading up to the Opera House. Other characters resemble typical Australian animals such as Kora the Kangaroo and Didge the Crocodile. Sid, Neey & Friends products (book and soft toys) are fully licensed and endorsed by the Sydney Opera House. They are branded with the Sydney Opera House logo.
