A Broadway hit from the early 1990s is given an excellent performance on this well-produced audio. Music and sound effects provide outstanding support for the superb professionals working before a live audience. Taking place in London at a gathering to celebrate American expatriate sister Sarah's birthday, this comedy explores family and the familiar relationships of three Jewish sisters from Brooklyn with their male companions from 1930s youth to 1990s London. It is fast paced, quite clever, and often hilarious. L.A. Theatre Works appears to have made an extraordinary commitment to bringing modern and classical theater to audio in such an effective manner.
