Ted, journalist and self-confessed loser, awakens to a bad smell and a bad case of the dehydrated blues. His mood isn't improved by a call asking him to interview a philosopher who thinks that his new book and a lot of whisky might change the world. Then Ted's handsome friend Lovell turns up with Kiddie, his seven-year-old nephew who has an unhealthy attachment to the cast of 'Star Wars'.
Meanwhile, in another part of town, for shop girl and unwilling mistress Sara, the morning isn't going too well either. Her latest discovery about her married lover is about to cause a panic attack of epic proportions.
Then Kiddie decides to go off skywalking, and worlds start to collide . . .
Jemma Kennedy's smart, beguiling and funny first novel shows that when a small boy's obsession takes over, nothing turns out quite the way you might expect.
