A king and queen celebrate the birth of their daughter by inviting the kingdoms fairies to a party. Unfortunately, they forget to invite a bad-tempered fairy, who retaliates by casting an evil spell on the baby. A good fairy alters the curse so that the princess will sleep for one hundred years before being woken by a kings son. When the princess turns sixteen, she pricks her finger on a spindle and falls into a deep sleep. A century later, a prince from another kingdom discovers the castle within a thick forest...
