Twelve-year-old Aurora and ten-year-old Luna are the daughters of Sleeping Beauty. Yes, that Sleeping Beauty.
Sadly, Aurora has been cursed just as her mother once was. In an attempt to prevent the sleeping curse from ever coming to pass, her parents have prohibited anything sharp from being in the palace: no scissors, knives, needles, or even quill pens. Yet Aurora somehow manages to prick her finger, and immediately feels the curse trying to drag her into a one-hundred-year-sleep. She staves off her drowsiness and sneaks out of the palace with her sister Luna to find a cure for the curse.
Now in disguise, the girls befriend a young sailor named Symon who offers the use of his boat - together they sail the seas in hopes of finding the hidden island of the fairy Emmeline. She is the only one who may be able to break Aurora's curse... but will Luna, Aurora, and Symon be able to find her in time?
