It's a sun-hot, sky-dry day, and Joey is tired of sitting in h is mother's pouch. All he wants to do is play - but MahRoo says it is much too hot. So Joey plays games with all his friends: Twisker the bush mouse, Slider the snake, Flatso the platypus and Prickler the echidna. They make up all sorts of wonderful games. Then along comes Sly-tooth the crocodile, who says he knows the best game in the whole wide world.
