Savannah is a dance hall girl, come to work in a saloon in one of the small communities within a day's ride of Springwater Station. During the trip to Springwater a young woman goes into labor on the stagecoach and they barely reach Springwater before the situation becomes desperate.
Dr. Riley Prescott arrives to help deliver the baby. Riley and Savannah dislike each other, but they get thrown together by various medical emergencies and eventually fall in love. All this is jeopardized, however, when the local woman bandy together to get Savannah, and her slightly soiled reputation, out of their town.
