An approaching plasma storm brings its share of problems to Deep Space Nine. A damaged Klingon ship is pulled to safety by the station's tractor beam, but the smugglers inside refuse to let Worf board the ship. Dax and Keiko take a runabout to track the path of the storm, but soon find themselves caught in it. With Keiko gone, O'Brien is left not only to prepare the station for the destructive onslaught of the storm, but also to take care of Molly. As the station and its inhabitants succumb to the chaos around them, Captain Sisko searches for a way to rescue Dax and Keiko and divert the storm that threatens to destroy them all.
