Weeks of constant space travel has put most of the Starship Voyager crew on edge. When a welcoming beacon is detected from a nearby M-class planet, an away team investigates and finds the planet, Fyoranol, to be a tropical paradise. The crew takes a much needed shore leave on the planet and engages in a program of cultural and scientific exchange with the inhabitants. This break seems to be exactly what they needed before continuing their long journey home, but suddenly the crew begins to talk of just staying on Fyoranol. This new attitude prompts Captain Janeway to investigate their so-called Paradise - and what she discovers is a deadly plot, the impact of which could threaten the Federation!
