Stars to the Sun

Every year, there is a huge party in San Luis, Argentina. Thousands of Brazilians are invited to the city to organise a show for the 'Carnaval de Rio'. To photograph it, Pieter Henket was contacted, one of the 'hottest' photographers of the moment. He started 12 years ago and has become the favourite photographer of many directors, actors and pop stars. His breakthrough was in 2008, when he portrayed Lady Gaga for her first album The Fame. The photo was selected for the American Woman exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Together with Banksy, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and many others, Henket participated at a group show in Dallas, Texas, organised by the Van de Goss-George Michael foundation. His work has been published in 'The New York Times Magazine', 'The London Times', 'Harper's Bazaar', 'Der Spiegel' and the Asian edition of 'Esquire'.
