Just before Christmas, Nellie discovers that someone has stolen everyone's hair. Children have lost their hair. All adults have lost their hair, even the police. Santa Claus has lost his hair and things look like being a disaster. Nellie makes some strange observations about an odd man on a penny-farthing and with the aid of two rather inept detectives is able to solve the mystery.
This is a fun book with fantastic illustrations. It is a perfect first chapter book to advance independent reading skills.
