Oscar Wilde is widely recognised as one of the greatest writers of the nineteenth century. Less well known but of equal genius was his extraordinary, unique gift for telling stories to his family, friends and acquaintances.

Now these unique, magical stories have been brought together in one volume. There is a short informative introduction for each of the 42 stories, setting the scene and giving the context in which it was told. The text is peppered with colour and black and white photographs, engravings and sketches contemporary to the time in which the individual stories were told.
