Her artistic, creative and crafting career began with a short spell at Edinburgh University (Italian and Art History), which was followed by a BA at Bath (Visual Communication). Subsequently, Jemima worked in the design industry for nine years as a graphic designer and as Global Art Director for Interiors at Laura Ashley Ltd. Jemima later trained as a teacher and moved to Brighton on the south coast of England, where she now teaches profoundly deaf teenagers. In addition to writing the 'Take A?' series, Jemima has contributed to lifestyle and craft magazines including Country Homes and Interiors and Period Living.
