'New Bjorn' is the story of Erik Nerdenburger and Bjorn Berg. Erik is not your average twelve-year-old Viking. Even though his father is Head Nerd, the famous Frederick Fraidonottin Nerdenburger, Erik doesn't like flapping swords, clanging shields, wielding spears or swinging spiky balls around.
But when the Head Nerd is kidnapped along with the entire Nerd clan, Erik and his friend Bjorn set sail for Dorkland to rescue them. Here, Eric meets Dora, the Head Dork's daughter. Dora is not too keen on having a bunch of Nerd slaves moping around the place, so she decides to help Erik and Bjorn.
Things don't go quite as planned and it requires some quick thinking to prevent a bloodthirsty battle between the escaping Nerds and their Dork captors.
The ensuing romance between Erik and Dora makes the whole plundering and pillaging thing rather awkward. So, for a while at least, the Nerds, Dorks and Jerks must find ways to pass their time other than by flapping swords, clanging shields and swinging spiky balls around.
