Charlie is very excited when a present arrives from his grandma. But instead of all the wonderful possibilities he imagines, inside is a hand-knitted jumper in rainbow striped wool. His mother tells him he must thank Gran for going to all that trouble, so he picks up the phone and says, 'Thank you for my yukky present!' and hangs up.

Then one night, the jumper asks Charlie to go on a journey - they are going in search for the jumper's very own sheep . . .
