Inspector Nergui returns to the backstreets of Ulan Baatar and Mongolia’s desolate steppes in the second instalment of Michael Walter’s unique crime series. In the vividly atmospheric sequel to The Shadow Walker, Inspector Nergui is assigned to conduct an internal inquiry into a failed prosecution, while Nergui’s successor and protégé, Doripalam, has to deal with both a major murder investigation and suspected corruption in his own team.
