Nan is an independent, free-spirited woman who couldn't care less what people think about her living alone in her beloved beach house. But when she discovers that the money she was relying on is running out and her house might be at stake, she knows that something has to change.
Nan decides to rent out rooms in her house for the summer and soon people start moving in, filling it with noise, laughter and tears. Quite whimsical, rather predictable, but nevertheless a good read. Chick lit. lovers, this is the one for you. Lots of tears, loving, caring and sharing. The story of an older woman trying to come to terms with her past and ready herself for the future. The characters are quite well written and there are just enough of them not to be bombarded by them. They all get equal story time and are all wrapped up neatly by the end. Definitely a book for the long, hot summer.
