The touching story of a young boy's experience during and after the Holocaust. Moishe loses his entire family in a concentration camp; he alone survives. At the camp's liberation, he decides he no longer wants to be a Jew, and tells the soldiers he is a Gypsy named Danny. He is placed in a Catholic orphanage where he befriends Roy. After Roy's adoption, Danny relives the loss of his family, and runs into the night, to be comforted by the singing he hears from a synagogue. There he regains his faith and finds a new family
