Isaiah Ollenu, law clerk and aspiring esquire, is busy with making his mark as the only Black man in the courts of Bristol. However, his studies are interrupted when barrister Jacob Dunne gives him the task of investigating the disappearances and putting such rumours to bed.
Joined by insurance man Ruben Ashby, Ollenu boards the Isabella and heads for the shores of Jamaica.
