On the terrace of the Villa Magari, outside Florence, the sun shines down on three young men. Steve Price, a rich American, Kurt von Schill, a talented pianist, and would-be painter Hamilton Johns are about to meet Prince Giorgio Caesari, his English wife and the Prince's three beautiful daughters.
