'The Day of the Elephant' is set in Thailand and is the true story of a heart-warming incident that occurred during the tsunami that hit the coastlines of Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India and the Maldives on Boxing Day 2004.
The wave rolls in and the village is obliterated, but the children are saved by the extraordinary efforts of Mae Jabu, an elephant whose 'sixth sense' anticipates the disaster.
