The Famous Four are cousins John, Sarah, Sam and Rosie and they spend nearly all their time together.
Sam and Rosie's Mum has had to go away for a few days and has promised to bring them back a wonderful present. In the meantime, the two of them decide to go down to the meadows and search for honeysuckle by the stream. While there, they are surprised to find a little puppy who looks lost and tired. Can they keep him? Or should they give him away?
