An unusual series of circumstances led Michael Jacobs to take up home in the olive-growing community of Frailes, a place near in distance but far in spirit from the main tourist centres of Andalucia. As he shared in each season's events, his own life became increasingly tied up with a village whose extraordinary character is apparent in an old an abandoned cinema.
