Juniper is a lively intelligent girl with a fascination for the past. Her inquiring mind also investigates telepathy, so she persuades Dylan, the class nonentity, to help her with an experiment. Dylan is chosen because of his artistic abilities and Juniper "sends" him pictures of locations to see whether he can pick up the images and draw them.
Dylon proves an excellent medium. But one day Juniper finds herself in what appears to be the past and Dylan depicts Tewkesbury in the 15th century. Gradually they are both drawn in to the world of a young woman living at the time but accused of witchcraft and burnt at the stake.
'The Juniper Game' was a finalist in the AIM Book Awards in 1992 and shortlisted for the Esther Glenn Medal.
