The gold medal-winning skating champion and idol of millions shares her experience as an athlete, a parent, and a breast cancer survivor.

When the entire United States Figure Skating team was killed in 1961, 11-year old Peggy Fleming was left without a coach, and the United States was left without a skating future. But, despite the fact that all her role models were gone, she persevered, creating an image of style and grace that would carry her to five U.S. titles, three World titles, and an Olympic gold medal in 1968.

In January 1998, on the 30-year anniversary of her gold medal, Peggy was diagnosed with breast cancer and became a national spokesperson for Breast Cancer Awareness.
