The Langmatt Museum in Baden, near Zurich, is a fascinating time capsule consisting of an outstanding collection of French Impressionism, an Art Nouveau villa and a historic park. Sidney and Jenny Brown bequeathed the estate and the collections to the town of Baden to establish a public museum, which opened in 1990. The sale of three of Paul Cezanne's paintings from the collection ensured the public museum in 2023. This volume tells the story of the unique museum and how it was saved from the perspective of those involved.
