'Stolen Children of Quentaris' is the prequel to Gary Crew's previous Quentaris title, 'The Plague of Quentaris'.
'Stolen Children' is a gripping fantasy novel which tells the story of the Quentaran children – including Garnet, Jasper and Moon Jewel – stolen by Nordian traders to sell to the despicable Trollantan rat people.
The novel details the children's capture, journey though the rift caves in tumbrels drawn by the brutish Nordians, and their final arrival in the court of the Trollantan rat king, the hideous Rodentia.
The climax is the attack of the Trollantans on Quentaris and the joyful escape of the children – those who survive their torturous ordeal with the Trollantans, that is.
