For forty years Robert Spillane has studied, taught and worked with managers and participated in several of the social movements in which they have become embroiled - including industrial democracy, RSI, occupational stress. It is, therefore, a personal and selective account of a professional life spent studying the problematic relationship between managers and psychologists.
