Two Books in One!
They're Stevie, Lisa and Carole - three totally different girls with one thing in common - they love horses!
'Rocking Horse'
It's time for the Willow Creek Junior High spring dance. Since it's open to everyone, The Saddle Club will be there, and so will Stevie's boyfriend, Phil Marsten. Unfortunately, Veronica DiAngelo will be going to the dance, too. The Saddle Club is determined not to let Veronica ruin their fun. But Veronica has her own plans. She arranges for The Saddle Club to be stuck at Pine Hollow Stables the night of the dance - taking care of her horse, Danny.
But Veronica is the one who's in for a surprise. Not only do Carole, Stevie, and Lisa go to the dance, but they take Danny with them, proving once and for all that he's a horse with a rock-and-roll soul.
'Horse Flies'
School has never been one of Carole Hanson's favourite things. She isn't a bad student, but she'd much rather spend time with horses that with books - until she starts reading about the Greek myth of Pegasus, the winged horse. Carole had no idea school could be this much fun.
But in her rush to learn everything she can about this wonderful flying horse, she forgets about the most important horse of all – the one right in front of her, Starlight. Can Lisa and Stevie help Carole get her priorities back in order? Or is their friend lost to the past?
