One of the most respected science fiction illustrators and artists currently at work, Vincent Di Fate began his professional career as a TV animator with Ralph Bakshi, publishing his first science fiction illustration - for 'Analog' - in 1969. Since then he has published countless magazine illustrations and book covers.
He was one of the NASA artists for the Apollo/Soyuz program, and received a Hugo Award in 1979. He also writes on science fiction art in his long-running 'Sketches' column in Algol and SF Chronicle, and his hugely acclaimed book on science fiction art, 'Infinite Worlds' (1997), was shortlisted for a Hugo Award.
