Follows 'The Last Days: The Apocryphon Of Joe Panther'.
Joe Panther is a psychotic, alcoholic, violent, substance abusing heroin dealer. He is also, he believes, Joshua ben Pantera, born two thousand years ago, the son of Mary and the Lord God Yaweh Himself, not dead yet, the crucified Jesus; still around, abandoned by his Father, abused by the world and really cheesed off.
When he wakes up one day in a Perth alley, right next to the brutally murdered corpse of a young lesbian activist, he has a feeling his life is about to become complicated again. He is right, of course. He's Jesus - he knows these things. Within hours he's got his only friend - who is pregnant with his child, the grandson of God - begging him to find the killer. The police, meanwhile, think they already know the name of the murderer: Joe Panther.
Joe has just days to find the serial killer or face a life sentence in maximum security. Then other people start to die, and the Lord finds he has to move in mysterious ways indeed if he is to survive . . .
