When Mr. Melville gives the students in his 7th grade history class one of his famous Special Projects-to solve a mystery in their own lives-Bethesda Fielding decides she's going to unearth the truth about their mousy Music Fundamentals teacher, Ms. Finkleman. But when she discovers that Ms. Finkleman (almost certainly) used to be a rock star, the whole school goes rock-crazy! Even the principal asks Ms. Finkleman to stage a school rock show in order to win the All-County Choral Corral-and Ms. Finkleman asks Bethesda to take the reins. But Bethesda has to wonder-why would a former rock star need her help with the show? Working with her rock-obsessed classmate, Tenny Boyer, Bethesda is determined to solve the mystery once and for all!
