As rivals or role models, supporters or soul mates, our sisters and brothers evoke a spectrum of feelings, ranging from love and fidelity to envy and betrayal. It is with them that we internalise our first experiences of 'democracy', equality and co-operation. The Sibling Constellation explores this primary relationship through three interconnected disciplines: mythology, psychology and astrology. Brian Clark begins by examining the early theories of the psychoanalytic triumvirate, Freud, Adler and Jung, as well as how their personal sibling dynamics may have unconsciously contributed to their theories. In Part 2 he examines the astrology of the sibling archetype and sibling dynamics. The book embraces the idea that all familial members influence each other and that the sibling has a direct impact upon our adult relationships.
