Dusty lives on a cattle farm, but long drought has made life tough. Her family is strained to breaking point. The only hope for their cattle is to leave them up in the high country until winter. That's where they found the snow pony, Dusty's beautiful, high-spirited horse. But trouble awaits when they return to muster the cattle. Hoodlums have damaged their property and roughed-up a young girl. The weather is closing in.
