The heroine of 'The Stargazer' is the brilliant and beautiful daughter of a renowned doctor, and the hero is a handsome aristocrat infamous throughout Britain and Europe for both his courageous escapades and his romantic conquests.
They meet in highly unfortunate circumstances - both of them summoned to the home of a well-known courtesan only to find her murdered. They each suspect the other of murder and they decide that the only way to prove their innocence is to team up and find the killer.
