More than a century later, one of the dolls falls into the hands of young, newly married Cathy Slater. Under its malign influence Cathy begins to change, tormented by emotions she does not understand and cannot control. Only one person can help - a frail old woman who has waited with dread for the ancient evil to resurface. Knowing that the doll is no plaything, but an instrument of Rebecca's tortured soul, she prepares herself for the inevitable.
