The Time Traveller is an amateur inventor/scientist living in London. Having demonstrated to friends‚ using a miniature model‚ that time is a fourth dimension‚ and that a suitable apparatus can move in time‚ he builds a larger machine capable of carrying himself.
It takes him to the year 802‚701 A.D. where he finds an apparently peaceful future filled with happy‚ simple humans who call themselves the Eloi. But below ground lurk the bestial Morloks‚ and they have taken the time machine... Will the traveller ever be able to return to the present day?
