'The Times Pubs of the Year 2000/2001' bring together in one attractive volume coverage of over 450 public houses throughout the United Kingdom, every one of which has been nominated by readers of 'The Times' newspaper. Of these initial 450 nominations, over 200 pubs have been visited by expert food and drink reviewers, and in each full review you will find frank views and full information on atmosphere, service, food, drink, facilities and friendliness towards single women drinkers.
Three pubs around the country have also been shortlisted and visited by a panel of celebrities and catering industry professionals in order to find The Times Pub of the Year. All nominated pubs appear on detailed four-colour mapping, and are linked to the text by a simple numbering system.
