Second Edition
'The Waratah' was the first book published on the subject of Australia's best known and most striking native flower. Ten years later Paul Nixon has revisited the subject and greatly expanded the work.
The botany of the genus Telopea is described in detail along with the three waratah species and their hybrids: "T. speciosissima" (NSW), "T. oreades" (Victoria), "T. truncata ' (Tasmania).
There is a major chapter on cultivation and propagation which will be of great interest to both the home gardener and the commercial flower grower, covering topics such as drainage, watering, fertiliser, pests and pruning. This edition also includes information on the latest research and discoveries along with a comprehensive section on commercially produced cultivars.
