Learn to create iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch applications with web standards.
* Leverages skills web designers already have to quickly get up to speed with iOS applications.
* Code-specific framework bypasses the need to learn Objective-C.
* A companion application will support the book.
This book teaches web designers how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build native iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad applications. Its premise is that web designers are highly skilled at learning their clients business needs, designing custom interfaces for their clients content, and styling this content in very audience-specific ways. By leveraging these skills for native mobile applications, web designers can do the same specialized and content-specific work for new platforms. And by combining these skills with a code framework that allows them to bypass the need to learn a lot of Objective-C programming, web designers can focus exclusively on interface and content design. This results in better products for clients and their customers, and also saves the designer both time (by avoiding the need to learn - or subcontract for - unnecessary programming skills) and money (by avoiding the use of more expensive - but less customizable - software-based approaches to designing native apps).
