One day a gust of wind whooshes into a ho-hum town. When the breeze blows into Bernard's class, he breathes in the breath of ancient kings and queens, the air that ruffled a polar bear's fur and blew the dust off the pyramids. Suddenly a tidy little town is topsy-turvy, and Bernard catches a glimpse of how wide and wonderful and exciting the world truly is. As the wind blows away, Bernard shouts out his name, so that the wind will carry it along and he can be a part of history forever.
