It's 16th century Italy, and Leo lives in a time when superstition and fear of the plague rule people's lives. The lake in Leo's village is a forbidden and dangerous place - that's where they say the witch lives, and she is always hungry for children. Leo is only a young wizard, but with his best friend Merilee he sets out to expose the legends of horror that keep his village in a straightjacket of fear.
But the witch knows Leo, she is calling for him . . . will he have the courage to face her? And if he does, can he go on to survive an evil far greater than the witch herself? A magical adventure about challenging fear and finding courage to face the truth.
