Theo's grandma is at it again: plaguing him till he agrees to help out another moaning old ghost. This time it's Mrs Cringle.
Cringle's Tower is being demolished by Josiah Jellicon's company to make way for a golf course. If it goes ahead Grandma won't have anywhere to host her Hallowe'en party. Theo's determined not to get involved, but then Alix turns up at Vanilla Villas with a carriage and four ghostly horses, and tells him she's going to search the Jellicons' house for the original deeds to the Cringle property . . . what else can Theo do but get on his bike and go after her?
